Short version: We don't store your personal information. Vehicle searches are anonymous. We only count usage (no details). Your comp results stay in your browser.
FairClaim is designed with data minimization as a core principle. Here's what we handle:
- Vehicle data you enter (year, make, model, mileage, ZIP) — used only to fetch market comps. Not stored on our servers.
- Letter details (name, policy number, claim number) — sent to our AI for letter generation only. Not stored.
- Session data — stored in your browser's sessionStorage only. Cleared when you close the tab.
- Usage counts — we log which endpoints were called (anonymized) for audit purposes. No personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Find comparable vehicle listings near your ZIP code
- Calculate algorithmic vehicle value estimates
- Generate formal dispute letters via Claude AI (Anthropic)
- Count usage for service improvement (no PII)
3. Data Storage
No PII is stored on our servers. Your comp results, vehicle details, and letter drafts live only in your browser's sessionStorage. When you close the tab, they're gone.
Our audit log records: endpoint name, anonymized IP hash (one-way hash, cannot be reversed), and timestamp. This is an ISO 27001 requirement for service integrity monitoring.
4. Third-Party Services
- Cloudflare — hosts our infrastructure. Subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- MarketCheck API — provides vehicle listing data. Vehicle search queries are sent to their API.
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes letter generation requests. Your letter details are sent to Anthropic's API and subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — loads the Inter typeface. Standard Google privacy policy applies.
5. Security
- HTTPS enforced for all connections (Cloudflare)
- No passwords stored — no accounts required
- API keys stored as Cloudflare Worker secrets (never in code)
- Input validation and sanitization on all endpoints
- Rate limiting: 20 requests/minute per IP
- Security headers on all responses (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options)
6. Your Rights
Since we don't store personal data, there's nothing to delete or export. Your session data clears automatically. If you have concerns about the anonymized audit log, contact us and we'll investigate.

FairClaim is an informational tool. The comp data, calculations, and generated letters are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice. For significant insurance disputes, consider consulting a licensed attorney or public adjuster.
8. Terms of Use
FairClaim is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use this service to generate fraudulent claims or misrepresent vehicle information to insurance companies. Use is at your own risk.
